Sara Palin declines to run for RNC chair
Perhaps because they don't want her to run for president or perhaps because they're just complete idiots, the Tea Party Nation recently sent a letter to Sarah Palin asking her to run for chair of the Republican National Committee (RNC).
Palin has declined, saying:
"I respect the desire to have someone in charge of the RNC who understands the wishes of the conservative grassroots and understands that power resides with the people and not the vested interests in DC. However, the primary role of the RNC chair seems be that of fundraiser-in-chief, and there are others who would probably be much more comfortable asking people for money than I would be, and they would definitely enjoy it more."
On a sidenote, the head of the Tea Party Nation, Judson Phillips, recently said in a radio interview that it was a good thing that only property owners could originally vote in the U.S. Whether he thinks it would still be a good idea isn't clear.
